ASDA Bedminster and their customers have been a great support over the past year with the toy library chosen as one of the charities in autumn 2016 that customers could support with their green tokens scheme.
Toy library founder and chair, Annie, along with her daughter was delighted to collect a very generous Green Tokens runners up cheque from ASDA’s Community Champion, Brenda Wright towards the end of 2016.
The money went towards buying new toys for the library.
In the summer of 2016, South Bristol Toy Library received £1,961 thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
The funding boost from Postcode Community Trust enabled the toy library to purchase extra storage equipment and stationary along with 15 reusable lidded coffee mugs to allow refreshments to be served safely during play and stay sessions. New toys were also another benefit of the funding with the popular Haba lock house and the Plan toys crane set along with numerous other toys purchased.
Postcode Community Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
When you sign up to play People’s Postcode Lottery, your postcode is your ticket. A minimum of 30% goes directly to charities across Great Britain and internationally. It costs £10 for 10 draws paid monthly in advance.
